Early Days is about a fresh start. I wrote the song thinking my life was laid out in front of me with someone, and when it went away, I found myself rebuilding a new future. The idea of trusting again is terrifying for me, but you'll never know what wonders lie ahead if you have an open heart. I think we've all been there whether it's with new friends, a new school, new job, a new partner, starting again is always like diving into the unknown. I needed to write it to remind myself to be brave.”
